Dear all

From Universidad Complutense de Madrid and in cooperation with Norwegian and Icelandic institutions, as well as with various Spanish ministries, among them the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, we are organizing a summer course entitled «Is science gendered? Reflections and experiences from the Norther and Southern Europe».

The course is organized within the NILS Science and Sustainability programme, funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area.

The event includes international top experts as Stephanie Bird (USA), highest level professors from Spain as Amelia Valcárcel, Eulalia Pérez Sedeño and others, as well as representatives from Norway and Iceland. It will provide us the opportunity to reflect on the social nature of science, the barriers to the participation, use and production of science and technology by women, and to identify good experiencies in order to promote equality in science.

Attached you will find the course programme. Attendants from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstain may apply for funding for travel, accomodation and inscription fees to NILS programme.

Registration deadline es May 26 and must be done through  https://www.ucm.es/cursosdeverano/matricula

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information,

We encourage you to participate in this event and kindly ask you to disseminate it as widely as possible.
