National meeting:
“Brain Scales: From molecules to systems in health and disease”
Nov. 17 at Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport, Gardermoen.
A key challenge in today’s brain research is to bridge scales, that is, to link molecular properties to behavior of the whole organism. NevroNor celebrates the Year of the Brain 2015 with a conference that points to several new directions in addressing this challenge, with a particular eye on how these may contribute to new diagnostic tools and treatments of brain disease.
Opening speech:
To be announced
Key note lectures:
- Bruno Dubois, Salpêtrière Hospital i Paris,
«The new diagnostic criteria for Alzheimer’s’ disease: from research to clinical setting»
- Vivi Heine, VU Amsterdam,
«Neural stem cells: Application of iPSC technology to study neurological disorders »
- Olaf Sporns, Indiana University,
«Computational Connectomics: Models of Structural and Functional Brain Networks»
Registration deadline is Nov 1, 2015.
The meeting is free of charge.
