The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology pursues research with the use of zebrafish as a new model organism through the FishMed project (Fishing for Medicines and their targets using Zebrafish models of human diseases) which is supported by the European Commission under FP7 GA No 316125 and by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
