2nd international PhD Symposium of MFPL’s Molecular Mechanisms of Cell Signaling Program

Dear colleagues,

we invite you to the 2nd international PhD Symposium of MFPL’s Molecular Mechanisms of Cell Signaling Program.

Join us on June 11 and 12 2015 at the symposium
Signaling Hubs – Central Organizers of Biological Systems

Overlooking the city from Kahlenberg, we will bring together international
top researchers and early career scientists to exchange ideas and review
the current state of research on signaling networks and central players in
sub-cellular systems.

We are happy to host several outstanding speakers including Anne-Claude
Gavin (EMBL, Germany),  Sankar Ghosh (Columbia University, USA),  Brendan
Manning (Harvard University, USA), Didier Marguet (University of
Marseille, France), Jeroen Raes (University of Leuven, Belgium), Robert
Roeder (Rockefeller University, USA), Kai Simons (MPI-CPG, Germany) and
Austin Smith (Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, UK).

The talks of these high-profile scientists will be flanked by students’
presentations. During poster sessions and panel discussions in the
evenings everyone will have the opportunity to discuss their research and
share their views on topics of the life sciences.
PhD students from MFPL, IMP, IMBA and GMI and elsewhere are invited to
present their research during our poster session or in a 15 minute talk at
the symposium. Check out our website to register for a poster or a talk!

Our previous symposium “Cells Don’t Play Dice” organized in 2012 attracted
more than 120 participants from international research institutions as
well as from top Austrian institutes and has recently received appraisal
by the City of Vienna. This year you can be part of this lively
environment and share your science with us!

Register for free on our website until May 15 2015:
