National meeting: New Horizons in Neuroscience

At the start of EUs Horizon 2020 program, the conference points to several new directions in international neuroscience research. These include the use of computational tools and large-scale neural network simulations, the increasing emphasis on astrocytes for understanding brain function, and the challenges of dealing with the large amount of data that is currently amassed both in basic and clinical neuroscience. Våren 2015 arrangeres MNT-konferansen ved UiB, og vårt fakultet er vertskap for konferansen (holdes i Vitensenteret).

MNT-fagmiljøer (på avdelings/fakultetsnivå) som forplikter seg til å levere bidrag til konferansen mottar fra NOK 50000-100000 (avhengig av fagmiljøets størrelse) i støtte til sitt arbeid med aktiviteter som skal bidra til økt gjennomstrømning i realfag og teknologi.
